Carolyn is married with 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren. She is a certified registered nurse anesthetist and recently retired to just personal training work. She has been interested in nutrition and how the body works throughout her whole adult life. Working in the medical field, she has seen first-hand the effects of poor nutrition and poor exercise habits on people’s health. She has experienced health issues herself with Hashimoto’s thyroid, inflammatory autoimmune arthritis leading to both hips being replaced, and high blood pressure. These are what motivated her to join Michelle’s Lifestyle Transformation Program in January 2020. That program was life-changing with the loss of 35+ pounds and the ability to get off 2 blood pressure medications just by using macro-based eating and beginning an exercise program using weights and cardio. She is excited to help other women become the healthiest versions of themselves using the tools she has learned from working with Michelle.

At age 54, in addition to being obese, I developed early stage cancer and had severe inflammation throughout my body. I had a very defeated mindset about my life, as I experienced my health going down a slippery slope. Working with my TWW coach, I began following a nutrition and exercise program that has my health steadily improving. But helping me understand my mindset is what catapulted me to a breakthrough with my overall health. I am no longer upper limiting myself with obstacles and heading towards my zone of genius! Currently cancer free, with much less overall inflammation, my life has completely changed to a better version of me. I’m continually improving, and getting fit! In 2019, I saw Joan McDonald’s story of transformation, I was in the midst of developing my own dream for the next stage of my life, life after work, retirement. My dream was to be healthy, strong, fit and lean and to enjoy outdoor adventure and travel with my family and grandchildren.
In May 2021, I retired and I was accepted into the WonderWomen program. It was a transformational moment in my life journey. I received nutrition, fitness and mindset coaching support from my WonderWomen Coach, Carolyn Pruemer. The WonderWomen program understands the science of nutrition and fitness. In addition to a new approach to my nutrition, I started a weightlifting and cardio fitness routine. I joined weekly team education calls with Michelle McDonald and her team of coaches that provided information about mindset, health, nutrition, weightlifting techniques and tempo. By August 2021, I was running 3 miles daily, lifting weights five times weekly and had lost 35 pounds. I started waterskiing for the first time in my life in August too. I am well on my way to achieving my dream life and a new level of awesome with each passing week! I am so excited to see what September will bring! I am so very grateful to Carolyn Pruemer, Joan and Michelle McDonald and the WonderWomen program!
